Happy New Year!!!!

I know it’s a few days late but oh well….

So, my second “New Year”…2006 was pretty good. I made some serious progress in the usual baby-progressive areas.

  • A first birthday (and all the wondrous toys that accompany such an event :) )
  • Packed on some pounds (an estimate but somewhere near 6 pounds gained in 2006)
  • I’m quite a bit taller than I was (about 6 inches taller than 1-1-05)
  • I grew some teeth (only 8 but they function like they should :D )
  • Worked on my dexterity and fine motor skills and figured out how to work zippers and other fasteners (I can also type now but since no one seems to understand what I’m typing, Dad is still doing the blog thing for me ;) )
  • I’m much more stable and mobile (watch out! I can run now….Comin’ through!!!)
  • A few words can be added to the list of spoken words that I posted some time ago but I’m still holding out ’til I have something really important to say.

As you can see, some great accomplishments and I’m sure 2007 will produce similar results…I’ll try to keep better track of such things this year to provide a more detailed year-end recap.

I hope you all had a great 2006 and best wishes for an even better 2007.

Catch ya’ later.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Hi All and merry Christmas…

So, my second Christmas already…And what’s there to say?…Gotta love toys!!!
What did Santa bring me, you may ask…
A huge stuffed St. Bernard (and I do mean HUGE!!!)
Backyardigans stuff–> DVDs, a stuffed Pablo, Tyrone and Uniqua, and a Tubtime Pirate boat (why? because that show still friggan rocks!!!)
Some leap pad books to help me get my learn on
A big book for the folks to read to me
A Diego safari jeep with a bunch of aminals (typo intentional to make me sound cuter ;) )
Can’t think of anything else, off hand…Hope I don’t make anyone feel slighted by not remembering

I’ve been sick for several days now and the big people didn’t think it was a good idea to take me out to visit. So, the Grandma visit got postponed ’til Wednesday…I heard she got me stuff too. :D

Anyway, I hope y’all had a great Christmas…..’Til next time

Over the river and through…

The woods?…Nahhhh. But to Grandmother’s house we did go.
We went to grandma’s place yesterday for a few hours to do some hangin’ out and eat some grub…It’s pretty cool over there except for one thing, she seems to put everything that I shouldn’t touch (break), out of my reach. So, I wind up having to break (oops, I mean touch) the things I’m allowed to touch. For instance, She has this little block of crystal with the statue of liberty and hot air balloons etched inside, it’s pretty indestructible, but the base that makes the crystal light up with pretty colors is not so durable. I sure hope she gets some more stuff that I’m allowed to “touch” or all I’ll be left to play with is toys. :))
Anyway, the grub was good but my gums are a bit sore and I tend to only eat as much as I have to to keep up my strength…Dad however, ate enough to feed a small third world country…I’m starting to wonder if he eats between visits to Grandma’s. :)
So, with some food in the belly and feeling pretty tired, I started making the scowl face for laughs….It works a few times but Dad ends up sayin’ he’ll slap that nasty look off of my face if I don’t cut it out….Jeesh, tough crowd!!!!
At about 3 hours, it was time to go pick up Mom and my brother. I guess they went to see “Happy Feet”…I like movies too, ya’ know!!! I didn’t make it much more than a block from Grandma’s before I was out like a light and woke up for about 1.3 seconds on the couch at home with Mom getting me out of my boots and jacket….Oh yeah, boots and jacket?….I don’t remember this whole “getting cold outside” thing from last year….I guess I didn’t leave the house much….I’ll be sure to have somebody take me sledding this year if it ever snows!

Catch ya’ soon!
